Councillor Derek Meredith resigns

Councillor Derek Meredith has decided to step down from the council as of the June meeting. Chairman Kevin Rose thanked him for his service to the Council and wished him all the best for the future.

If there is an election it will be held before 12th September 2018. See the notice in the News section of the website.

Town Park Reopening

Town Park Reopening

The new and improved Town Park is reopening on Sunday the 24th June from 11am to 1pm.

South Normanton Parish Council are pleased to invite everyone along to the official reopening ceremony and ribbon cutting at the Postmill Centre.

Town Park Refurbishment

The South Normanton Parish Council are excited to announce that the town park is being refurbished at a cost of around £20,000.

The grand re-opening celebrations are to take place on 24th June at 11am. Lots of activities planned.

The Local Plan- have your say

Come to the Postmill Centre between 4 and 7 pm on the 6th June to view and discuss the Local Plan.

The Local Plan is the blueprint for the development of the district to 2033 meeting the needs for jobs, homes and community whilst protecting our heritage.

Consultation closes 15th June.

Easter Fun Day

A great day was had by all at the Post Mill Centre on Easter Saturday. The Parish Council had a crafts table for the Children and awarded prizes for the best two pictures. One winner was Aubrey aged 3 and the other was Hazel aged 2. Well done to everyone.

Parish Councillor Surgeries

Come and meet a Parish Councillor and air your views or ask your questions. Surgeries take place in the library at The Hub between 10am and 11am on the second and last Saturday of every month. The Council will be delighted to meet you.
