This year we will again be operating the Snow Warden Scheme and volunteers are welcome to join us in keeping our village pathways clear of snow and ice.

Ball Hill Planning Application

The Parish Council are very pleased to announce that the planning application for an industrial development on the land east of the M1 Motorway and north of Ball Hill has been withdrawn.

The Parish Council were the first to object to the planning application in the strongest terms back in February 2018.

For the very first time in South Normanton, the Parish Council decided to provide a Christmas Tree and hold a special event to switch the lights on which took place on Sunday 2nd December at 5pm in the Market Place adjacent to the Cyber Café.
