Volunteers Wanted For Snow Warden Scheme
This year we will again be operating the Snow Warden Scheme and volunteers are welcome to join us in keeping our village pathways clear of snow and ice.

Ball Hill Planning Application
The Parish Council are very pleased to announce that the planning application for an industrial development on the land east of the M1 Motorway and north of Ball Hill has been withdrawn.
The Parish Council were the first to object to the planning application in the strongest terms back in February 2018.

South Normanton Parish Council Christmas Lights Switch On 2018
For the very first time in South Normanton, the Parish Council decided to provide a Christmas Tree and hold a special event to switch the lights on which took place on Sunday 2nd December at 5pm in the Market Place adjacent to the Cyber Café. Food Bank Trolley Collection 2018
A shopping trolley full of food generously donated to the South Normanton Food Bank by members of the local community. The collection was organised in a joint effort between the South Normanton Parish Council and The Post Mill Centre throughout the month of November 2018.

Remembrance Day Great Freddies Bake Off
South Normanton Parish Council were invited along to Frederick Gent School to congratulate the winners of the "Freddies Bake Off" baking competition.
Councillors Graham Parkin, Ian Garrett and Tracey Cannon met with the winners and were amazed by their baking skills, imagination and creativity used in making these fabulous cakes.
